Welcome to Love Test ("we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy applies to the Love Test: relationship test mobile application (Bundle Identifier: com.davcole.Love-Test) for iOS and watchOS, published by Tue Hoang / Affinity Tech.

We believe personal relationships, compatibility scores, and cherished memories are deeply intimate and belong solely to you. Love Test is engineered with a strict 100% on-device, privacy-first architecture. This policy details how our application handles data, our media storage safeguards, device permissions, and the restrained advertising model we implement.

By downloading, installing, or using Love Test, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Core Privacy Guarantee: 100% On-Device Data

Love Test does not require user accounts, email sign-ups, or social logins. All compatibility algorithms, anniversary calculations, and quiz evaluations execute directly on your device's processor using Core Data and local Swift engines.

3. Photos & Live Photo Memories

Love Test enables you to attach still photos and Live Photos to your relationship milestones. We employ strict privacy protections when handling personal media:

• Picker-Scoped System Access: When choosing a photo, the app invokes Apple's modern PHPickerViewController, which runs in an isolated system process. Love Test does not request broad access to your entire Photos library (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription). The app only receives the specific image or Live Photo you explicitly choose.
• Metadata & EXIF Stripping: On import, all EXIF metadata, GPS location coordinates, camera models, and timestamp headers are stripped by re-encoding the still image and generating downsampled thumbnails.
• Independent Sandboxed Storage: Selected media is copied directly into the app's sandboxed local storage. If you later modify or delete the original image in Apple Photos or iCloud Photos, your milestone memory in Love Test remains completely safe and untouched.
• Deliberate Playback: Live Photos never autoplay unexpectedly. Playback is deliberate on user tap, audio is muted by default, and motion is suppressed when iOS Reduce Motion accessibility settings are active.
• Cascading Deletion & Cleanup: Deleting a milestone or relationship immediately removes all associated image, video, and thumbnail files from disk. A dedicated Clean up unused media utility in Settings scans for and purges any unlinked media files.

4. Device Permissions & Hardware APIs

The app offers several native iOS integrations designed to enhance your experience without compromising privacy:

• Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID): You can protect your relationship journal with biometric lock. Authentication takes place entirely within Apple's Secure Enclave via the LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is never accessible to our application.
• Local Notifications: Scheduled reminders for upcoming anniversaries, custom milestones, and daily conversation prompts are generated locally via iOS UNUserNotificationCenter without any server communication.
• Apple Watch Companion & Widgets: Day counters and anniversary countdowns sync locally within your device ecosystem using WidgetKit and WatchKit over local system channels.

5. Advertising & Diagnostics

To sustain free development while respecting emotional intimacy, Love Test adopts a restrained advertising model governed by strict placement boundaries:

• Strict Ad Placement Boundaries: Banner ads are strictly confined to the Connect / Discovery Hub. Advertisements are strictly prohibited on data-entry forms, calculation screens, compatibility results, milestone timelines, photo memories, biometric lock screens, and the Apple Watch companion.
• Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform (UMP): Advertisements are served via Google AdMob. In regions requiring consent (such as the EEA, UK under GDPR, and applicable US states), consent management is provided via Google UMP. You can review or adjust your consent choices at any time from Settings → Privacy Choices.
• App Tracking Transparency (ATT): In accordance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the app prompts you for tracking authorization. If you decline, only non-personalized, contextual advertisements are requested. Under no circumstances are partner names, dates, or photos shared with advertising networks.
• Apple Privacy Manifest: All diagnostic and device identifier telemetry collected by third-party SDKs (such as device models and general app stability signals) is explicitly documented in the app's PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest.
• Diagnostics & Crash Telemetry: Anonymous, aggregated diagnostic data (such as app launch rates, device OS versions, and crash stack traces via Firebase/AdMob diagnostics) may be collected to identify bugs and maintain stability. No personally identifiable relationship data is ever included in crash reports.

6. Data Retention, Export & Deletion

You have full sovereignty over your information:

• Complete Data Export: You can export your full relationship profile, milestones, and conversation history to a local JSON file at any time.
• Permanent Data Eradication: Tapping Delete all data inside the app settings immediately wipes all Core Data records and purges the local media folder.
• Uninstalling the App: Because data is stored strictly in your device's sandboxed local container, uninstalling Love Test removes all stored records and media files permanently.

7. Children's Privacy

Love Test is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13 years of age (or 16 in certain European jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe third-party services have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect new features, iOS system capabilities, or legal requirements. Updates will be published directly on this page with a revised "Effective date".
