1. Introduction

Welcome to Easy Currency Converter ("we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy applies to the Easy Currency Converter mobile application, including the Google Play app with package name com.aeris.currencyconverter.

Easy Currency Converter is published on Google Play and on the Apple App Store by Anh Nguyen Thi Ngoc.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in our Easy Currency Converter mobile application, including the limited data collected automatically through third-party services we use to keep the app stable, deliver live exchange rate data, and understand how it is used.

By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Easy Currency Converter's core functionality — converting currencies and displaying exchange rates — runs primarily on your device, using rates fetched from our exchange rate data provider. We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other information that directly identifies you.

The app performs an internal IP-to-country lookup on your device in order to detect your approximate country automatically. This is used solely to personalize your experience — for example, showing your likely local currency and relevant conversion tips first in the app's currency list — and to set sensible defaults so you don't have to search for your currency manually. This lookup happens locally as part of the app's functionality, is not linked to your identity, and is not stored on our servers or shared with third parties beyond what is described for AdMob and Firebase below.

The app uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google, to help us understand app usage and diagnose crashes. Through these services, the following categories of information may be collected automatically:

• Usage and app interaction data (e.g. screens viewed, currencies selected, session length, app opens) via Firebase Analytics.
• Device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and general (non-precise) region, derived from your IP address.
• Crash and diagnostic data via Firebase Crashlytics, including crash logs, stack traces, and the app state leading up to a crash, to help us identify and fix bugs.
• Identifiers such as a Firebase installation ID or advertising/analytics identifier, used to group events and crash reports without directly identifying you by name.

The app offers in-app purchases (for example, to remove ads or unlock additional features), and we use RevenueCat to manage and validate those purchases. Through RevenueCat, the following information may be collected:

• Purchase and subscription data, such as products purchased, purchase and renewal dates, price, currency, and subscription status.
• App Store / Play Store transaction receipts, used to validate purchases with Apple and Google.
• An anonymous app user identifier generated by RevenueCat to associate purchases with your device/installation.
• Device and technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, and IP address (used for fraud prevention and approximate region).

Your personal currency list, favorite currencies, custom rates, and other in-app settings are not collected by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, RevenueCat, or AdMob, and are never sent to our servers or any third party — those values are stored only on your device.

The app displays ads served by Google AdMob. Through AdMob, the following information may be collected:

• Advertising identifier (e.g. Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA), used to serve and measure ads and, where personalized ads are enabled, to help make ads more relevant to you.
• Device and technical information such as device model, OS version, app version, IP address (used for approximate location and fraud/invalid-traffic detection), and general ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

Depending on your region, AdMob may show either personalized or non-personalized ads, and consent/opt-out choices may be presented to you in-app (for example, via a consent management platform) as required by applicable law (such as GDPR in the EU/UK or similar frameworks elsewhere).

We do not use cookies or tracking pixels ourselves, beyond what AdMob uses to serve and measure ads as described above.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it. See Firebase's privacy and security documentation and Google's Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — helps us detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and errors. See the same Firebase and Google privacy documentation linked above.
• RevenueCat — manages and validates in-app purchases and subscriptions on our behalf, and processes related purchase, device, and transaction receipt data with Apple and/or Google. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob — displays ads within the app and processes advertising identifiers and related data for ad delivery and measurement. See AdMob's data disclosure and Google's Privacy Policy.

Exchange rate data is fetched from third-party financial data providers so we can display current and historic rates; these requests do not include any information that identifies you personally.

These services may process data on servers located outside your country of residence. We do not otherwise use third-party APIs, authentication providers, or custom databases beyond those described above, and no personal currency list or custom-rate data leaves your device.

If you install or purchase the app through Google Play or the Apple App Store, those stores may also process information under their own privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details or store account information from those platforms.

4. Your Choices

Depending on your device and region, you may be able to limit analytics, advertising, and crash data collection through your device's privacy settings (for example, by limiting ad tracking, opting out of personalized ads, or resetting your advertising identifier) or through in-app consent prompts where applicable.

On iOS, this includes responding to the App Tracking Transparency prompt. On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. You can also review Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com.

Uninstalling the app will stop any further collection of usage, advertising, or crash data associated with your device through Firebase, AdMob, or RevenueCat.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not collect or store any personal data, personal currency lists, or custom rate data on our own servers — those values remain on your device and can be removed by clearing the app's local data or uninstalling the app.

Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained by Google according to Firebase's default retention settings, and is used only in aggregate or diagnostic form to improve app stability and user experience.

6. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The analytics and crash reporting described above collect only technical and usage data, not identifying personal information.

Because the app displays ads through Google AdMob, it is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly direct the app or its advertising to children. If the app is ever configured as child-directed, ad serving is adjusted accordingly (e.g. non-personalized ads only) in line with applicable requirements such as COPPA.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective date".
